Every day in Winchester and Clark County, ordinary people are making an extraordinary difference in the lives of others through the selfless giving of their time, energy and resources.
Stand Up for Winchester & Clark County wants to celebrate these unsung heroes, and motivate others - from individuals to businesses to organizations - to join our effort to positively change the quality of life in our community.
We are striving to creatively address the ongoing issues that challenge our community, such as joblessness, illiteracy, high school dropouts, teen pregnancy and poverty.
The possibilities are limitless and everyone -- from seniors to young people, from small family-owned businesses to large corporations -- can make a difference.
As we come up with practical ways to measure the results of this ambitious undertaking, we look forward to triumphs on both a large and small scale, and we hold to the belief that one success story will have made our efforts worthwhile.
